Description
A fine early example of Winchester’s Model 1897, manufactured in 1902 and chambered in 16 gauge with a 28-inch Full choke barrel. Designed by John M. Browning, the exposed-hammer Model 1897 was the definitive pump shotgun of its era, valued for its rugged reliability and enduring design. This specimen features a blued steel receiver and barrel, grooved walnut slide handle, and straight-grain walnut stock fitted with a ventilated recoil pad. A solid representative of the pre-World War I production period. Serial number: 182414.
