Description
Sumerian Bust of Female Fertility Figure (Astarte) 2.75 in. H. This figurine most likely can be dated sometime within the Ur III through the Isin- Larsa Mesopotamian periods (c. 2100-1800 BC) according to Dr. Ben Darsky’s research and notes. See attached photos as evidence of condition and details.** Note** Lots 1 through 47 were all acquired by Professor Benjamin Darsky (Former University of Michigan Professor) while on one of his sabbatical trips to the Holy Land Region. He traveled there several times in the 1960’s and early 1970’s. Lots that have original receipts will have photographs included with the lot.
