73/100 3rd Print Limited Edition Rare 1774-1874 History of the First Troop Philadelphia City Calvary Book measures 9.5×12." 196 Pages in Length, plus the Appendix. The Philadelphia City Troop is considered the first organized militia unit in the country, although some argue Georgia Hussars of Savannah. They found under Washington during the Revolutionary War. They ere engaged early in the Civil War at Falling Waters, Virginia. They later were mustered out and most of their officers and men join other regiments, including the 2nd Philadelphia Cavalry. This very rare book is #73 of only 100 printed for the members of the troop upon its centennial in 1874. Much Revolutionary War History and pre civil war history, images and plates, and rosters.
