Description
Lot of 2-Herend Porcelain Figurines – 1.) Green Fishnet-Sitting Rabbit with 24K gold accents. Mold Figurine #15305 date: 1998. Figure Measures: 4 3/4" Long and 5 1/4" Tall. 2.) Rust Fishnet-Rabbit with Paw up, with 24K gold accents. Mold Figurine #5335 date: 1994. Figure Measures: 5 1/2" Long and 4 1/4" Tall. Herend Hvngary Logo on bottom of all Figurines. The famous fishnet decor adorning many of the animals took form in 1858 when a Herend painter become inspired by a fish scale design he saw. He painted a similar pattern onto a rooster figurine to imitate feathers. The rest is history, and the fishnet design is now a Herend signature prized worldwide.
