Lot of 3-Herend Porcelain Figurines – 1.) Blue Fishnet- Sitting Baby Elephant with 24K gold accents. Mold Figurine #15429 date: 2000. Figure Measures: 4" Long and 3" Tall. 2.) Blue Fishnet- Sitting Baby Elephant with 24K gold accents. Mold Figurine #15429 date: 2001. Figure Measures: 4" Long and 3" Tall. Herend Hvngary Logo on bottom of all Figurines. The famous fishnet decor adorning many of the animals took form in 1858 when a Herend painter become inspired by a fish scale design he saw. He painted a similar pattern onto a rooster figurine to imitate feathers. The rest is history, and the fishnet design is now a Herend signature prized worldwide.
