Southern Canaanite Style Astarte terracotta Female goddess Fertility Figure. 5 in. H. 8th-7th century BCE Israelite-Iron Age. Acquired from J. Zadok & Son in Jerusalem, Israel Aug. 2, 1999 for $5200. Comes with COA. See attached photos as evidence of condition and details.** Note** Lots 1 through 47 were all acquired by Professor Benjamin Darsky (Former University of Michigan Professor) while on one of his sabbatical trips to the Holy Land Region. He traveled there several times in the 1960’s and early 1970’s. Lots that have original receipts will have photographs included with the lot.
