Lot 130:
Description
We believe this to be a Webb piece as we found a notation of this coloration, and finish in his 1878 record book, stating "these heavy pieces where made of green glass, having Bronze, crackled Bronze, and Bronze Gilt where being produced. This Webb Green Bronze bowl was purchased from an estate in Corning, New York several decades ago, standing at 6 1/4" tall, on a 3" foot, with 6 1/4" diameter rim. The vase itself it blow as one piece, and the interior ring at mouth opening, was hand applied as a string of glass afterwards. Remnants of label residue remain of should as seen in photographs. The glass itself is green, and the exterior finish has a blue and gold iridescence. We have not seen this particular piece prior to cataloging this example. See attached photos as evidence of condition and details.
