Description
Herend Porcelain Rust Fishnet Figurine – Sea Lion with 24K Gold Accents. Mold Figurine #15365 date: 1991. Figure Measures: 7" Long and 4 1/4" Tall. Herend Hvngary Logo on bottom. The famous fishnet decor adorning many of the animals took form in 1858 when a Herend painter become inspired by a fish scale design he saw. He painted a similar pattern onto a rooster figurine to imitate feathers. The rest is history, and the fishnet design is now a Herend signature prized worldwide. Retail on this Sea Lion is $1,300.
