The following Lots 76 thru 85 all come from the same collection of a former FFL who relentlessly pursued examples of Remington’s First Model Rifle. We are honored to offer not one, but ten examples for your consideration. Produced 1880-1888 this fine Remington Keene Rifle features a 28" rounded barrel, Military Butt-plate with 5 Piece cleaning rod inside, half stock, blade front sight, two position flip-up ladder rear sight with three “U” notches for sighting

NOTE: Lots 80-83 Have Different Styled Stocks as other Keene’s (LOT 84 DELUXE WOOD)

Left side of receiver is marked “45 / 70”.
Bolt marked “E. REMINGTON & SONS, ILION, N.Y. / PAT. FEB’Y. 24 MCH. 17 1874 JAN. 18 / SPET. 26 1876 MCH. 20 JULY 31. 1877”.
