Lot of 2-Herend Porcelain Figurines – 1.) Butterscotch Fishnet-Sitting Bear Eating a Banana with 24K gold accents. Mold Figurine #15348 date: 1999. Figure Measures: 4" Long and 5" Tall. 2.) 24K Gold Fishnet-Sitting Cat with Bow, First Edition Artists Show 1997 Collectors Piece. Mold Figurine #15319 date: 1997. Figure Measures: 2 1/2" Long and 4 1/2" Tall. Herend Hvngary Logo on bottom of all Figurines. The famous fishnet decor adorning many of the animals took form in 1858 when a Herend painter become inspired by a fish scale design he saw. He painted a similar pattern onto a rooster figurine to imitate feathers. The rest is history, and the fishnet design is now a Herend signature prized worldwide.
