Lot of 3-Herend Porcelain Figurines – 1.) Black Fishnet-Puffin with 24K gold accents. Mold Figurine #15480 date: 2001. Figure Measures: 5" Long and 4 1/2" Tall. 2.) Rust Fishnet-Swiming Duck with 24K gold accents. Mold Figurine #15337 date: unknown. Figure Measures: 3 1/2 long and 2 1/4" Tall. 3.) Green Fishnet Pelican with 24K gold accents. Mold Figurine #5170 date: unknown. Measures: 2 1/2" Long and 3 1/2" Tall. Herend Hvngary Logo on bottom of all Figurines. The famous fishnet decor adorning many of the animals took form in 1858 when a Herend painter become inspired by a fish scale design he saw. He painted a similar pattern onto a rooster figurine to imitate feathers. The rest is history, and the fishnet design is now a Herend signature prized worldwide.
