Description
Herend Porcelain Rust Fishnet Figurine – Squirrel Eating a Nut with 24K Gold Accents. Mold Figurine #15388 date: 1994. Figure Measures: 3 3/4" Long and 4 1/2" Tall. Herend Hvngary Logo on bottom. The famous fishnet decor adorning many of the animals took form in 1858 when a Herend painter become inspired by a fish scale design he saw. He painted a similar pattern onto a rooster figurine to imitate feathers. The rest is history, and the fishnet design is now a Herend signature prized worldwide.
