Description
Canaanite Bronze Stump Figurine of goddess with Conical Hat, Pinched Face, Middle Bronze Age, 2200-1550 BC. 7.6 cm. high. The goddess has a bird face, arms raised, emphasized breast, and pillar body. This came from Saaon Ancient Art in Jerusalem, Israel during the summer of 1999 for $1200. Comes with COA. See attached photos as evidence of condition and details. ** Note** Lots 1 through 47 were all acquired by Professor Benjamin Darsky (Former University of Michigan Professor) while on one of his sabbatical trips to the Holy Land Region. He traveled there several times in the 1960’s and early 1970’s. Lots that have original receipts will have photographs included with the lot.
